It runs a competitive league for local runners that can enhance your running experience by adding more companionship and friendly competition. It's an excellent way to get to know members of other clubs - particularly those who are of a smilar standard to yourself.
A series of 20 local races. of varying length, are selected at the commencement of each year and members encouraged to compete in at least 12 of those events, scoring points based on their relative positions within a 'performance' grouping and the relevant age-group. Thereby members measure their improving (or otherwise) fitness against that of others on a regular basis over the whole year.
An annual awards dinner is held at the close of each year to present trophies to the winners of each group - a very popular social event!
Membership is only £5 per year. Click for a NSRRA Membership Form .
The NSRRA have a slick new web site now - where you can find links to full results of completed events, current league tables and a whole lot more: NSRRA
