Essential information from England
AthleticsWe must start by saying
a massive 'Thank you and congratulations' to you all. New
figures from Sport England have shown a growth in
participation in athletics and this is due to the hard work
and expertise of so many people in the sport. You can learn
more about this below. You'll also find all you need to
know about the England Indoor National Championships, how
to get involved with our Facebook Leaderboard, and about
our recent National Coaching Conferences. We look ahead to
the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Dehli with Helen Clitheroe
and the IAAF International Cross-Country Championships in
Brussels. Clubmark accredited clubs can learn how they can
benefit from the Active Kids Scheme, there's news of a

Conferences
Coaches from across England have been reaping the benefits
of input from world class coaches at England Athletics
National Coaching Conferences More than 400 coaches
attended the three conferences in Sheffield, Lee Valley and
Birmingham with the focus of 'Physical
Preparation'.

Clubmark
accredited clubs to benefit from Active Kids
scheme
This year, Sainsbury's Active Kids is giving Clubmark
accredited clubs the opportunity to take part in, and
benefit from the Active Kids scheme. Active Kids
helps teachers, leaders and coaches inspire and motivate
young people to get active and be healthier by providing
equipment and unique experiences for them to
enjoy.

England will send full teams to the IAAF Brussels
International cross-country this Sunday, as the Belgium
capital welcomes many athletes moving on from last weekends

Jeff Adams, Canadian Paralympian and a six-time world
champion, is hosting a wheelchair racing summit on the
weekend of 30th to 31st January 2010.

The England indoor senior and age group Combined Events
championships, and age group championships details have
been announced. Information such as entry forms, links to
enter online, timetable, officials selected, and links to
