Monday 6th June

Tonight’s Club Run Session with the juniors will be led by Matt Long.

Matt has served as an England team coach for junior, senior and masters athletes and has recently worked at the

Team England Marathon Camp for athletes targeting the Commonwealth Games.


The idea of the session is to introduce young athletes to running at differential paces which challenge all 3 energy systems – namely aerobic (with oxygen); lactate (speed endurance) and alactic (pure speed). This is a way of introducing young runners to fun sessions which have a team component without them being subject to the rigours and risks posed by more formalised modes of training, such as repetition work.

Thursday 9th June

We are holding the delayed “Chippy Social with Open Forum” after a road run.

The Thursday Chase run will return 16th June.
