2022 results can be found Here 2023 results can be found HereMow Cop Runners and local residents welcome you to this famous event and hope you are all ready to tackle the killer mile, starting at Drumber Lane, Scholar Green, to Top Station Road, Mow Cop, with 550 feet of continuous climbing at 25% gradient in places. The finish is in National Trust car park.Car Parking. Please Park at bottom of Mow Cop on Station Road, Scholar Green as directed, be considerate and car share if you can as parking will be on the streets and is restricted. Additional parking at Mt Pleasant Village Hall and field opposite. Toilets are available in field next to start on Drumber Lane. The race route is closed to traffic from 5.00 pm. Please allow enough time as starts will not be delayed. Pre-Entries. Enter on Run Britain website at www.avtiming.com/killermile
Race number bibs will be collected on the night from race registration located in the field adjacent to start on Drumber Lane, just before level crossing. For an optional charge of £1 you can have your number bib posted to you. Please arrive at start 15 minutes before your start time for your safety as the start is Mow Cop side of level crossing. If you are late, you will be allowed to run in next available race. Under 12 start is 6.15, and is located about 200 metres up the road, finish is National Trust Car Park, which is main finish for all races. Distance is just over ¾ mile. Entry on the Day This is located in field adjacent to start, please complete an entry form, select race and hand in to collect number bib and pay entry fee. Fees on the day are £4.50 under 18, and £8 for others. On the day entry closes 15 minutes before start time to allow you to cross level crossing safety. Refreshments. Drinks and cakes will be available for purchase at the Community Church Hall, which is located just off Top Station Road, and we encourage all competitors and friends to pop in. All proceeds are donated to the Community Church. There will also be refreshments available to purchase in the registration field arranged by local schools as a fund-raising exercise. Tee Shirts For pre-entries you can pre order a newly designed Killer Mile technical tee shirt. Children’s £5 and Adults £8. Please specify your size, these can be collected from the Community Church Hall on the day. First Aid Dunwood First Responders will provide this. Photography. Bryan Dale will be in attendance, and photos will be on his website – www.racephotos.org.uk Trophies and Prizes Club Race trophies and prizes for winners and age category will be distributed in the Community Church Hall at 8.00 pm. There is a new trophy for leading female in club race in memory pf Marion Cook whose enthusiasm and hard work has made the event such a success. The male and female winners in all the fun runs will receive their awards on the finish line. All finishers in the under 12 fun run will receive a medal and goody bag. There is a special £500 cash prize if the record time 6 mins 12 secs broken. Results. We are using chip timing again this year, all timings will be gun time, please make sure your time is recorded by going over the timing mat at the finish. Results will be available on the night and shortly after at www.mowcoprunner.com and at www.avtiming.com/killermile. All competitors will be sent a message with their finishing time on the night, and a video of finish will also be available. There will be an option to download a race certificate.
